Echoes From The Tomb.
I don’t do this every week so it doesn’t seem like it would be so difficult, but it is still as though I’m getting teeth pulled or Blood extracted from my veins. But I will try again to post Five new facts, in a segment that I will from this day forth commonly refer to as “”BLOOD ON A FRIDAY MORN!!”
#1- spiders (Not Tarantulas) and other small creepy crawlers gross me out but I love Scorpions.. (go Figure)
#2- My family once lived in the mountains in Arizona in a converted bus, it had a small bathroom with a shower and we cooked and ate outside.. Beautiful place but cold in the winter.
#3 - when I was eleven years old two of my friends and I spent the night in a Walnut orchard that was suppose to be haunted by ghosts.. We stayed the whole night until daybreak but didn’t see one ghost.. Damn!
#4- My favorite guitar players are Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana and more recently Eric Johnson.
#5- I have been out of the United States Of America Three times in my life, all three times were to Mexico.

I stepped outside of my front door and the sun was shining brightly, oh what a beautiful day it was indeed, not a cloud in the sky and a perfect 75 degree’s! not too hot, not too cold, just right. There were a group of children in a field across the street playing baseball all were happy and scurrying around to catch the first hit of the game, and as I rounded the first corner I found myself even more anxious to find what other treasures might await me on this gorgeous afternoon. The sidewalks were all clean and a perfectly washed colorful assortment of automobiles lined both sides of the street, there were rows of houses with white picket fences with father’s out in their front yards with their sons and daughters, some were merely playing catch, others were just playing, while others still were cutting the grass. As I made my way along the bustling street I could see every kitchen window raised where a hot freshly baked fruit pie sat perched precariously upon each sill as it cooled until it was presented to the family as desert for the evenings dinner. As I came upon the first intersection there was an old truck that was broken down in the alley behind the gas station, it had a flat tire and there were two policemen there helping the driver to safely change it. I crossed the street at the light and to my left there was a boy scout in uniform helping an old lady across the street with her bags, she tries to pay him when they safely reach the other side but the boy gracefully declines, “no ma’am,” he tells her, “just doing my duty.” I see yet another grassy field off to my right and I stop to marvel at how pristine and beautiful the perfect green grass looks… so beautiful as the sun caresses each blade, and I can’t resist the urge to take off my shoes and walk across the entire length of it to reach the other side where a stream of cold clear dark blue water gently cuts its way through the landscape, I stop to look into it, and the reflection that I see there in the clean blue water is of a person that I no longer recognize, it feels like me, but I have aged, and I realize that this place that I walk in no longer exists and I am dreaming and it saddens me. There is no Perfect World.. And we all have to wake up sooner or later. | | Posted by Scratch at 5:22 PM - | |
