Echoes From The Tomb.

The Sunday Night Picture Show........... (#2)

Sometimes a picture can take you to places of dreams..

The lure of the unknown can lead you to other worlds.

Sometimes it can leave you speechless.

And sometimes a picture can just say it all..

Hope everyone stays safe this week... see you next weekend.. Scratch

 Nomad. (For My Friend Prank.)

Some say I’m a nomad,
With no where to go.
Some say I’m a mystery,
That nobody knows.
I wore my heart, on my sleeve,
To be seen by all of you.
But to my own spirit,
I now must be true..

Do what you have to do Prank my friend, please know that your presence here will be greatly missed,
take care of yourself bro.. hope to see you floating around the Stream again soon, hug Woogie for us.
your pardner in crime... Scratch.

THE SATURDAY SCRATCHING POST. ( EVENING EDITION #2 )

CONNECTING STREAMS..

Although it is not certain exactly how many Blog sites that there are on the Internet, I have tried more than a few, and I can say with complete confidence that none of them come anywhere close to what we all here now know as our beloved “Stream.” As I think back to the exact moment in time that I decided to come here, On Friday September 30th 2005 at approximately 4:55 Am I posted my very first blog here, and although there were times when the flow was a little choppy I have never regretted it. Its been asked time and time again why people come here, I’m finding that the answer appears to be something different for everybody, heres the strait scoop (Strictly my opinion, of course) much to the chagrin of some people, who shall forever remain nameless, human beings whether in the physical world or in this virtual world that we all know as the Blogstream, feel the need at some point in their lives to connect on some level with other human beings. For some of us the struggle to find real connections in our lives that mean something not only to us but to the person that we are trying to connect with, does not always come with the desired result, so, many of us are left to find other ways to get that connection that we’re looking for. For me when I first came here I was very quickly blindsided by the sheer potential to form bonds with people that I knew I would more than likely never meet, but I quickly learned that it didn’t matter as long as I kept in mind that there were real people behind the words. Real people that I grew very quickly to care for, if someone hurt them I got angry, if I felt a sadness in their words, I would try to write something to aid in their comfort not intentionally try to add to their problem, and now when I see words come across this screen that tell me that this isn’t real, the only contention that I may offer to the Blogstream’s detractor’s is this question: “If you do not believe that what we feel for each other is real, then why are you here? Why do you insist on returning to disrupt something that you have no feeling’s for one way or another? If we are not real people here then where are these words coming from? Sorry ace, you are all dead wrong, we are real people with real feelings and (GASP!) Emotions!! Real love and yes ace.. Even hate in some cases.. So we connect.. We laugh.. We cry out in pain.. We are after all human.. Who are looking for nothing more than a connection with other humans, so maybe even if only in a virtual sense we can share the feeling that perhaps we are not in this fight called life all alone, and there is someone out there that is fighting with us… not against us. Just my opinion of course.

THE BUZZ..

Lil Evil Annie..

Well I keep seeing the Name “Ann Coulter” popping up around the stream in the last few days. What has that goofy little twit been up to now? Seems that the anorexic bitch can’t seem to keep her big mouth shut, and its no small wonder to me that she doesn’t have as much shit going in her mouth as she does spewing out of it.. I especially think its cute when she starts on her tantrums about foreign policy: “We should go in there and kill their leaders and convert them all to Christianity.” Did this goofy sack of bones really say that?? And did I read somewhere that she thinks it’s a good idea to nuke north Korea and its should be used as a warning shot to the rest of the world? Did she really say that? Ann, Ann, Ann.. World domination doesn’t work, just ask Hitler.. Oh .. that’s right Hitler’s dead.. Well it appears as though his grand daughter is alive and kicking..

Drops In The Stream..

Well it appears as though our good bud Wayfarer of the “Stream Of Consciousness” has resurfaced here on the stream, glad you have been playin the music again, but its good to see you back on the Stream as well Wayf my friend, some of us were getting worried that you may have found a new pond to play in.. it’s a relief to see you posting again and for as long as you stay welcome back..

It seems as though Jonnie over at the “A Crusty Middle Aged Woman” Blog had a run in with a big ol Fat Coyote! Along with her dogs Conor and Gibson, she appears to be no worse for the wear, but coming across any wild animals can be hair raising indeed.. On a positive note the work appears to be flowing in for our dear friend Jonnie no one deserves it more than her. Congrats Jonnie!

If anyone reads Rosie’s blog “There’s Always Hope” you would all know as do I, what a wonderful spirit this amazing woman has, well I’m not sure what’s been going on in her neck of the woods, but she seems to be a little down lately.. I read her Blog this morning and was more than a little disturbed to read that she didn’t think of herself as intelligent, Rosie… Dear, Please do not do that.. Okay? Speaking as your friend.. Do not allow yourself to be brought down like this , and if someone else is trying to drag you down give them a good swift kick in the arse and tell them to get with the program.. YOU milady, (in spite of what anyone may think!) are a damn fine writer.. And that does not come without intelligence.. Ask anyone here.. We are all proud to be swimming in the same stream as you.. Please take care of yourself..

My new blog pick of The Week. "My crazy journey to somewhere!"

My New Blog pick of the week is interesting it’s Called “My crazy journey to somewhere!” by Micki, it is hard to put into words when something strikes you at your core, and when I read Micki’s very first blog post this morning, it kicked me right in the nuts. What she went through with her sister was like a flashback of what My family went through when my brother passed.. Anyways Welcome to the Blogstream Micki..

I hope you all have a great friday, and please be well..

 The Thursday Opening Statement..

DON'T SPEAK..

I ran into a guy yesterday that was part of a group of guys that I used to hang out with on the weekends back in the late nineties, there was a whole bunch of them that used to go to the casino sports book on Saturdays and Sundays to watch college and NFL football, They were mostly middle aged guys, most of them had girlfriends or wives, and all of them were as I found out, quite miserable. When they were together the talk was as cheap as the beer that they were drinking, I never got close to any of them but I did hang out to see if I could gather any insight into the mind of a married man that seemed to live more for his weekend’s than for his wife and kids. Upon reflection I don’t think that there was much in the way of insights to learn, other than they just pretty much ignore any signs of a problem in their relationships with the women in their lives, they always told me that I couldn’t speak on this issue because of obvious reasons, One being that I have never been in a long term relationship, so I had no leverage in their conversations, but what I did have was some pretty good ears along with a heavy dose of common sense (something that I possess a fair amount of, if I do say so myself ) I let it get around that I had been referring to them as “The Manly Men” and when it got back to them (which was my intention all along.) I was on the receiving end of some rather dramatic “Real Men Don’t” lectures. for instance, Them: Real men don’t talk about “the Relationship,” EVER!! . Me: no the imbeciles let it deteriorate and then have the balls to act surprised when they end up in divorce court.. Them: Real men don’t ever talk about emotions or feelings.” Me: no, they let the shit fester inside of them and end up wigging out on the wife and kids when they reach the breaking point, and end up getting abusive instead of getting it out in the open and seeking help when they need it. Okay guys , I could go on but I won’t, I mean after all, ol Scratch don’t have a whole lot of experience in the relationship department, but let me say in my own defense, Maybe not.. Not an expert, no most definitely not. But I am the son of one of the most extraordinary women that I ever have or ever will know, and heres what SHE told me, you say you have a special lady in your life? Yeah huh? You want her to stick around do you? Work on your communication skills!! You have to learn to talk even more about what’s wrong as well as what’s right if its going to last. And most importantly mom always told me to use your heart before you use your hands, I think my ol Mum was a very special woman, oh by the way, the guy from the group that I ran into yesterday at Subway… divorced twice since ninety eight… apparently he doesn’t know much about relationships either.
