Echoes From The Tomb.

 Posting Blues.

Since Monday afternoon I have been struggling with what to write a post about, I was considering doing an extended post on the Anna Nicole Smith debacle but no, that’s already been beaten into the ground by the news media, so that was not going to be it. And then on Tuesday night when I stopped by the Sonic burger after work I thought I might have had something to go with, when I got to talking with a couple of younger kids about monster movies. And in a period of about thirty five minutes we ran the gambit of all of the modern hack and slash movies, like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and others like the Saw Movies, and others that I never heard of. I concluded our conversation with the usual movie monsters aren’t as scary as the real monsters, that was all the bait that I needed for that hook, and they bit. “There’s no such thing as real monsters Mister.” My answer? Sure there is. Guys like Gacy, Dahmer and Bundy.. You know real Monsters! Horror movies of yesterday or today can never match up to the thought of what the human mind is truly capable of. These guys were real monsters to their very core and what made them turn out to be so scary was outwardly, they seemed to be just like everybody else. Well I abandoned the idea for a real monster post,I wasn’t clear on my approach or where I would take it, so I scraped that idea. Then when I got home I thought about doing a post on the Weather, but how long does it take to describe that its cold outside. So then I bounced around the idea of posting something on the illegal immigrant situation, but that never got off the ground, so then I thought about doing a post on George W Bush.. But I wasn’t in the mood for comedy either, so I have decided to sleep on it and try again tomorrow night.

 The Sunday Morning Grump.

Well I survived yet another one of those silly wishy washy holidays without any major incidents, of course I’m talking about the dreaded Valentines day. I didn’t even read any of the comments on my post that day just to be safe, and I managed to make it through to the other side without getting beat down by the hearts and flowers crowd. Thank god that’s over. Now we move on to Presidents day, not a bad holiday, at least it isn’t wishy washy. But hey its only MY opinion. Of course you can’t turn on the television without hearing and seeing the whole Anna Nicole Smith circus, okay Now I’m not going to be a hypocrite and try to say that I was a fan or anything, I didn‘t like her, but I didn’t dislike her either, I thought that she was a very sad lady hiding behind a very big smile. Now lets throw a gag around those morons in the news media, give Anna a proper burial, and give her some peace, and put whatever money there is in a trust fund for the little girl, and put her in the hands of some capable adults who will act in HER best interest instead of worrying about what’s in it for them. Something else crept into the back of my head earlier in the week, what was it, oh yeah I came home from work a little early and turned on the television and started watching Glen Beck on CNN. And as I was getting out of the shower I could have sworn that I heard him say that Comedian Al Franken was running for a seat in the US senate. Now I’m no political expert or nothing, but I have heard a few of this guys rants on occasion and Something isn’t right there. Ahh well, go ahead and run Al, If George W Bush can become President I guess anything is possible. The next thing you know they’ll elect an ex professional wrestler as Governor of Minnesota.. Oh wait.. They already did that.. Ah well at least Saturday Night didn’t suck..
