Echoes From The Tomb.

 No negative waves please?

I have been thinking about a change of direction for my blog, and I believe I have come up with a good starting place. See I’ve been kicking around this ol Stream for almost three years now, and I remember what we old timers here refer to as the good ol days when we all - (for the most part) got along and came here just to write and have fun. Well, step one. This is one blog that is going to get back to that. There will be no negativity allowed here. From this moment on. No bickering, no fighting, if you have a grievance with another blogger take it to them, don’t bring it here. I will still do serious posts, but I don’t believe that everything has to be so negative all of the damn time. I cannot speak for my fellow bloggers here, but I come here to enjoy myself, and I will get back to that.I want the people that do come here to be able to relax and share a laugh or a smile, That being said I have to get ready for my last day at work this week. See you all tonight more than likely. peace Later gang.

 Tired ol Dragon.

Although I haven’t posted anything in about ten days or so, I have managed to peek in on the stream a couple of times. Not much has changed, I helped My buddy move into his and his girlfriends new digs and the move is finished. Here though things have been a little bumpy, the weather can’t seem to make up its mind yet. Its winter. No wait. Its spring.. No. wait its summer. No.. its still winter. Crap. Its hot, its cold, it doesn’t seem to know what it is. I am feeling it in my bones too, I’m probably just worn out I suppose. Hey I’m allowed. I enjoyed the little break, but as far as being online is concerned I learned something interesting yesterday at work, during lunch I stopped by the stream on my computer at work and it showed me as being online even though I wasn’t even on my computer at home. Strange but par for the course here lately. Strange week. I’ll swing by the BS this weekend sometime until then I think that I will contemplate a change in direction of this blog page here, Perhaps it will get my interest back up, if not maybe another break will be needed. Anyways Time for work gotta go.

Later.

 We The People..

It used to be golf or Tennis that did the trick for me on those special occasions when insomnia would strike and I would find sleep so evasive. Now on those special days or nights I find that all that I must do is to turn on C-Span. Yeah buddy that’ll put me to sleep every time. Especially now, seeing as how its an election year, and every politician with an axe to grind has pulled themselves from the sewer’s shouting hollow campaign promises from every orifice of their bodies simultaneously. Yeah I know, its no big secret that I truly despise politicians of every sort, but seeing as how I have voted in the past, and plan on doing so again, less insults to what intelligence I still manage to cling to would be nice. As a card carrying American/ voter I would just like to address the panel face to face if I may.

To The Candidates for the Office of President Of The United States Of America:

Sir, madam, Mr. Mrs. Whatever. As an American citizen, and a proud member of what is- (In my humble opinion.) the greatest workforce on the planet. I simply want you to do the following during the remainder of this electoral session.

#1- When I ask you a simple question, please, at least try to give me an believable answer, preferably with a straight face if you can possibly do so.

#2- when asked in what ways you are eminently qualified to eradicate the numerous problems left behind by the previous administration, please answer any and all questions relating to this particular subject without pointing your finger at any of the other candidates in this election. I asked YOU the question, If I need to know something about them, their history, their voting record or where they stand on any particular issue, I will ask THEM myself. And please do not trail off the subject.

#3- Please while campaigning, try to focus on the important issues, for example, issue’s like, The Economy, Health care, and ending the Iraq war, issues like these are important to the people that may or may not vote you into office.

Look, its really simple, just make us believe that you give even half a shit about what is happening in THIS country. Make us believe that we aren’t buying into some kind of bullshit that will turn out to be even worse than the shit we’re in now. Make Every American, regardless of their Race, economic class, or their political party affiliation believe that their vote will actually count this time. let us believe that the most qualified person to do the job is actually running the country without having to STEAL the election this time. Make us believers, we need actual help, not bullshit promises. Shit would you listen to me? I’m starting to sound like a politician. Yeah I know, I’m too old to believe in fairy tales.

 For The Taking.

We’ve been stumbling around here for what seems like forever. Looking up at the stars, watching the clouds. Our whole existence spent wondering, asking questions. Never ending questions as to why we are here. Where do we really come from? Where will we end up? How much time do we have left? We’ve lived through the discovery of fire, we chiseled the first wheel out of stone, and made our first weapons from them. We marveled at the very first sunrise, and watched in amazement as it sat, wondering if we would ever see such a miracle again. We hunted for food, taking from the earth only what we needed for our own survival. We were nomadic, roaming the earth looking for our place, we stumbled and awkwardly took our first cautious steps towards civilization. Walked upright, became tribal, began to stake our claim to what we deemed was ours. But never was. We became intelligent, built cities, forged machines, closed ourselves off from the rest of civilization, became a bigger threat towards our neighbors. We became warlike.

Drilled for oil, made bigger machines, bigger cities, bred children more, and as time evolved, taught them less. We became less tolerant, and more impatient, took more and gave less. Became closed off to the outside world, and as a singular society have become closed off to each other. We do not seem to be able to grasp the simple concept of being human anymore, what it means to reach for a greater understand of why we are the way that we are, instead of destroying each other because we are simply different. We thirst for blood, are bent on revenge, and when one of us cries out in pain we mistake it for anger and reach for our weapons instead of each other. Greed is good, love is dead, and acceptance seems forbidden, and our leaders would have us believe that peace is unattainable. We have lost our way, somehow, we have become corruptible, and inevitably corrupted by our lust for wealth. I sit under the stars now and often try to marvel at life every now and again, and I realize that in Gods grand scheme of things we are really quite small as a species, and not indispensable. I wonder what God is thinking sometimes, perhaps that the more intelligent we become as a species, the bigger danger that we become to ourselves. Perhaps if we were truly as evolved as our own arrogance would have us believe, then we would realize that the Earth does not belong to us. We belong to it.

~Peace~
