Echoes From The Tomb.

 I don't get People sometimes..

Do you ever get tired of people reading in secret meanings into every word you say? This happens to me every so often, and as recently This past Monday it happened again. As most people are well aware, even some of you here on the Stream, I am the proud owner of an American made Fender Stratocaster. it’s a beautiful little guitar and I am very protective with it. (See above Picture.) Ok, let me get to the point, person #1.. His name is David, as far as I can tell he is in his mid to late twenties, he hangs around with people his own age, all whom drink, smoke pot and supposedly play music. The problem for David isn’t that he is a wannebe Rocker, or even a real musician, his problem is he doesn’t even own a guitar.

My problem is I barely know who this guy is, and some how or another he found his way to my doorstep on the first day that I decided to get my Strat out and loosen my fingers up again. That was what, Last week? So this David person shows up at my door on Monday night to ask me what? “Dude we’re Jammin tonight can I borrow Your Strat?? Say What? Lets see..forget for a moment that she's my baby, and I'm going to Hand over a 1100 dollar guitar to a total stranger because he wants to jam? To Make a long story short, I of course said absolutely no. Tonight I see one of my newer neighbors at the mailbox and he asks me why I berated his buddy David. He told this guy that I called him a whole plethora of names, and some other things that I won’t bother mentioning.

I set the record strait, and ended up walking back up the stairs shaking my head in disgust. All I said was “No.” I didn’t owe him a reason other than “No you may NOT borrow my strat.. And I wouldn’t let you borrow it if I’d known you for most of your life. I don’t lend out my Guitars to ANYONE!” but that somehow became I called him this, I called him that, I said This, I said that.. Yadda Yadda Yadda.. When all I really said was “No.” I didn’t think that what I said was all that hard to understand. And yet it got twisted and translated into something that wasn’t even close to the truth. I am Not going to dwell on this but I would like to know how You can say something So clearly, only to have your words manipulated into what another person seems to want them to mean. Sometimes I just don’t get people.

A True Horror Story. (Only At Wal Mart!)

It seems to me that the scariest horror stories are the ones that are true. Damn, people sometimes are just plain ol scary. I took a ride around the west side today, man it was a beautiful day and I had the best afternoon that I’ve had in forever. I cruised down the western district and just sort of putted along first down Minnesota street, and then Thompson and those places. There were leaves blowing across the street until I hit Mountain street and Then I headed out to where the old K Mart used to be. They have a Starbucks out that way so I stopped to get a strawberries and cream Frappucinno (Spelling?) Boy That’s when I made a bad decision

I thought to myself as I slurped up the Frapp, “Man, I ain’t that far from Wal Mart, I may just have to hit it on the way back.” big mistake, well maybe not that big, but I decided to check out another new water filter for the kitchen. So I Get to Wally’s and it wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. I grabbed me a cart and headed towards the housewares section. Stopped got a couple of new towels and wash cloth’s and just as I got to where the water filters were I turned the corner and …. OH MY FREAKIN GOD!!! The biggest ugliest hairiest monster of a butt crack that I ever saw (unwillingly I might add.) was staring me right in the face!! Gawd!! The shit that people wear in public.. I felt like saying “Hey Lady.. Pull up your Britches Will Ya??”

Ok.. So It wasn’t a woman But damn That was some scary shit! For real. Why do people insist on wearing clothes that are at least two or three sizes too small for them? And In a family store like Wal Mart no less! It was one of those moments where you are thinking to yourself, “If I only had a half of a gallon of Spackle and some plumbers tape I could fix this..” For real now.. Why?? Wear clothes that fit for Pete’s sake! If you are going through your closet and you weigh four hundred pounds, the shiny blue Speedo’s might be a risky fashion choice even if your only going to go to.. Say… Wal Mart or any other store where there may be people with fragile eye balls roaming the isles. I swear to god, I always see the screwiest people in that store.. Ahh well I’m safe at home now though, I think I’ll go work on the Music Blog.. Hope you all have a great Week.

 Friday Morning News.. Most depressing.

When I was a kid I used to get in a few scrapes with other kids. You know the usual kid stuff, you called this kid a stupid name, or did something that they didn’t like and you got slugged, and you slugged them back, Yadda yadda yadda. Point being, usually- (at least where I went to school) days later the incident was all but forgotten. Point being no kids that I knew at this particular school ever brought semi automatic weapons to school with them to gun down their fellow students.

I can remember on several occasions when I had to deal with boisterous , pushy bullies, the earliest one at age ten I believe.. And when I got pushed too far, the end result saw me standing defiantly in front of the nasty, with my little digits wadded up in a ball, until I got brave enough to pop him a good one right in the nose.. End result? he gave me my space back and left me alone because I stood up to him.. Most bullies after all are simply cowards at heart after all.

I do not condone fighting, picking on or (heaven forbid) bullying. But I don’t think that I have ever come across a member of my generation that hasn’t had to deal with some of it while they were in school. And none to my knowledge ever resorted to mass murder to solve the problems of adolescence. So what’s going on here? There’s been another shooting, (this one in Cleveland Ohio.) and this morning the lovely Linda Stouffer (filling in for Robin Meade.. We miss you Robin.. Hurry back!) ahem… anyhow Linda tells me that there was another school shooting discovered while still in the planning stages.. This time in Philadelphia Pa.

What In the blue hell is going on with these kids?? do they really have it so much worse than we did? Do we chalk it up to peer pressure? Newsflash Bullwinkle.. We all had to deal with Peer pressure, maybe not up to the level that kids deal with today, but still, Peer pressure and school yard bullies have been around for as long as there have been Schools. Let’s focus on something that kids today DON’T have to deal with. And That’s getting their asses kicked by mom and dad if they screw up in School.. They do what they want, whenever they want to do it.. And if the parents even try to put their foot down, the ungrateful little brats call child protection services and the PARENTS go to jail. How fucked up is that?? The whole thing is disgusting. that’s it I’m out . Have a good Friday.

Sometimes at the super market, Grade Schoolers Dissin him on their way home from School. What must it feel like to be the most disliked, if not out right hated man in America?.. Lying through his teeth at every given turn, smiling that vacant smile, or is it more like a sneer? Ok.. I have had enough.. Have you?? It's time someone did what needs to be done.. Ok Georgie boy.. You asked for it..

 Crap... Its Almost Monday.

Well here it is Sunday again. One day before my favorite day of the week.. Yeah.. that’s sarcasm at its finest. All in all I’d say I had a pretty mellow weekend, I launched my new music blog and It seems to be getting a warm welcome. So much in fact I already have One more Playlist finished and another over half done. I’m giving the fiction a break for the time being and will concentrating on the music blog for awhile, as I my interest level in music is REALLY quite high right now. I’m thinking that I will be exploring a lot of stuff that I never heard before, styles, bands, and such.. So if you know of a band or style of music that you think is interesting please let me know. I’ll put it or them on a play list.. Well it’s dinner time here folks then I have to get ready to return to work tomorrow.. Hope to see around the Stream my friends.. Hope everybody has a great week!
