What Can Brown Do For You?...

Every year we have to do year end inventory where I work, for the Douglas Arizona warehouse. The reason we’re told that they can’t do it for themselves is because they only have two computer terminals in the whole facility and it would take forever for them to enter every single number for every single item that is on the stock shelves. So they take a physical inventory, put part number, the quantity and location of the part and write it all down on an inventory card. The inventory cards are then shipped to us where we physically enter them into the computers at work and what happens after that I haven’t a clue.

We were told that the cards were going to be shipped via UPS overnight for a early a.m. delivery on Friday morning. We waited.. And waited and waited.. Finally around 11:00 a.m. there was still no sign of UPS. So they called the rep from the office who connected us to them right away. We found out the package that we were waiting for got rerouted by accident through Las Vegas. So they rescheduled it for a Saturday morning delivery. So everybody gets there on Saturday, and while we are waiting we did a little side job matching up production price sheets.

11:00 o’clock rolls around again and still no UPS. So they call them back and are told that there is no service available in our area on Saturday.. After they told us the day before that they would most certainly deliver. What assholes.. We killed two days waiting on their sorry fucking asses without so much as an apology from them. So how does that slogan go again? Oh yeah.. “ What can Brown do for you?” well, to start with, they can stick their shitty assed service right where the sun don’t shine. We will go in and try again tomorrow. But after this mess if we don’t switch to Fed Ex after the first of the year someone needs to get their head examined. What a mess.

 Waiting for the New Year

Sorry I haven’t been around much, but damn the stomach flu that I had was kicking my ass for the past week. it’s a wonder I haven’t lost a ton of weight, but I haven’t. it is getting better now, but for awhile there, man it was rough. Anyways on the blog front, I don’t think My Email is still working right, because half of the comments I have gotten on the last entry didn’t show up there. I logged in a few times but never even stopped by my own blog to check messages. That’ll teach me I guess. So I’m slowly getting Healthy again, and hopefully I have shaken that stomach virus for the last time, three or four times in one season is enough. I will try to get through and read all of the nice comments that you all left on the last post and answer them sometime after work tomorrow. Yeah I’ll be working this weekend, I have to help with year end inventory, so Friday and maybe Saturday could find me sitting behind a computer terminal at work. I want to wish all of my friends at Blogstream a wonderful and Prosperous New Year. Hopefully 2008 will find you all in good health!

 Still here.

The last week hasn’t been a whole lot of fun for me. It actually started on Saturday night, but it got worse on Sunday. First I got this nasty stomach virus. Yeah I know third time this year. I went out to eat and it came back up an hour later. Sunday morning I thought it was over.. Nope it wasn’t.. I had breakfast and it came right back up an hour later, when I didn’t eat I was fine and dandy, but I still was still sick with the heaving and I missed work on Monday. So no sleep Sunday.. I stayed up and pissed around on the internet. And to top all of that off, my printer up and decided to take a shit. It finally died altogether the day before yesterday. So last night I went to wally’s to get another one. The one bright spot I have going for me? Its Christmas weekend and I have five days off total to recuperate from my crappy week. Another bright spot, I found my other nephew on Myspace we haven’t seen each other in like twelve or thirteen years so that was good. I am just so ready for some time to just sit, relax and do nothing. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

T'was A Cold Christmas Eve.. A Christmas Poem.. By Scratch.. (No Seriously..)

A loud crashing noise,
Awoke me from sleeping,
For upon my rooftop.
I heard footsteps a creeping.

A ball bat I grabbed,
And down the hallway I stumbled,
And in that dark empty hallway,
With the light switch I fumbled.

From the chimney’s belly,
I heard a low muffled yell,
And when the soot cloud billowed,
I knew the fat bastard fell.

So off I did go,
To call 9-1-1,
For being Christmas Eve,
This shit was no fun.

So the policemen all came,
And took him to jail,
But it was Christmas eve,
So he couldn’t post bail.

I hear he called the north pole,
With a tall tale to tell,
And he was sprung from the joint,
By a shit load of Elves.

And in a sleigh full of toys,
Into the dark night he fled,
And I heard the jingle bells ringing,
As I was returning to bed.

And when my house he flew by,
He dropped his pants like a loon,
T'was a cold Christmas eve,
With a full Santa Moon.
